God loves you more than anyone can comprehend. So no matter what’s going on in your life today, I pray that you will be able to understand how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is (Ephesians 3:18).

Hi, [NAME]. Have you and your family had a chance to check out your Love Lives Here PowerPak? I would love to hear what your family’s favorite is so far. I’d also like to encourage your family to try one of the prayers in the Devotions for Families book tonight at bedtime. I think you will love how simple and meaningful the prayers are. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Choosing love—even when it’s hard…

Message:

Hi, [NAME]!

Have you ever heard that when someone is the hardest to love, that’s when they need love the most? That concept really challenges me sometimes, especially when I’m hurt or angry or feel wronged. I don’t feel very loving in those moments. And when the Easter season is upon us, I can feel a little sheepish about my own attitude when I think about what Jesus did for me, for us. No matter how much we sin, God loves. No matter how much we reject him, God loves. No matter how much we deny him, God loves. God loves even when we don’t deserve it, even when we’re hard to love. And I’m so grateful!

This week, I want to ask your family to open up your Love Lives Here PowerPak that you should have received at church (if you didn’t get one yet, please let me know and I’ll drop it by your house!). It’s all about God’s love for us and challenges families to share love, too! Plan a time during a family meal to look at everything inside and decide what you want to try in the coming weeks. There’s something in there for everyone. Don’t feel pressure to do everything, just pick at least one or two things that your family would enjoy and give it a whirl!

Don’t miss the card for grown-ups. It will not only encourage you as a parent, but also help you show love even when your kid’s behavior isn’t quite as nice as you’d like.

I’d love to hear about your PowerPak adventures! Tell me what you try and your family’s thoughts, too.

Sending you a fist bump!

Message:

[NAME],

I just wanted to send you a virtual fist bump to say you’re doing a great job as a parent! I also wanted to give you a little bit of encouragement from God’s Word to keep it up…

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” Philippians 2:13

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” —Philippians 4:6-7

And, if you haven’t already, check out the Home Connect card in your Love Lives Here PowerPak this week and come up with a fun way for everyone in the family to stop, notice, and greet your loved ones when they come home each day. Just stopping and recognizing someone when they walk in the door is a surprisingly simple way to show someone they are loved!

Have a great week, and remember that God sees you, he knows you, and he LOVES you!
