Hi, [NAME]! Are you decorating your tree this week or sometime soon? I just wanted to take a moment to point out the “Christmas Tree Decorating Prayer” in the Unwrap Thankfulness PowerPak in case you haven’t seen it. I think it’s such a great way to bring more meaning to decorating the tree. I encourage you to check it out and make it a part of your tree-trimming tradition!

Hi, [NAME]! It sure is chilly outside today! It’s a great day to pull out the “Outside Connect” card in your PowerPak. Plus, I think your family will really like the service aspect and being a blessing to others! Let me know if you try it.

Unwrapping thankfulness with your family…

Message:

Hi, [NAME]!

First, I just wanted to make sure your family got your Team Family PowerPak: Unwrap Thankfulness. If you haven’t, please let me know and we can set up a time when I can drop one off at your house. If you already have your PowerPak (or when you get one), I have a favor to ask…

Plan a night this week when your whole family will be home and you can eat dinner together. (Tip: Put your PowerPak in the center of the table now so you don’t forget this next step.) As your family enjoys a meal together, open up your PowerPak and start exploring what’s inside. Pick one thing (or more!) that your family wants to do together this week, and plan when you’re going to do it.

Everything inside this PowerPak is super practical and easy for your family to do, and it will help you focus the season on what matters most: being thankful for the greatest gift we could ever receive—Jesus! I love that and hope you do too!

If you think of it, email me back and tell me what you decide to do! I think putting the “Make-a-Masterpiece” craft and the “Shopping Connect” card together would be a great way to encourage another family!

Have a GREAT week.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Message:

[NAME],

Wow! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is already almost here. With all the hustle and bustle, I’m hoping your family has been able to enjoy spending time together and doing some of the activities in your Unwrap Thankfulness PowerPak. Don’t worry—this email isn’t to give you a guilt trip if you haven’t had time to do anything! Believe me, I understand being busy.

I just wanted to point out a few things you might enjoy this week (or even next week when things are a little less hectic):
  • On Christmas Eve (or a different day if Christmas Eve has too much going on), pull out the family devotion book from your PowerPak. Turn to the second to last devotion, “Thanks for Immanuel, God With Us,” and spend time as a family while you practice being thankful for Jesus being with you always!
  • Want to make unwrapping presents Christmas morning even more fun? Pull out the “Christmas Morning Connect” card and wrap it up like a gift—add extra bows! Tuck it way under the tree so it can be the last gift to unwrap. Label it with the name of one of your family members who can read. After the family member opens it, ask him or her to read the card out loud. And then…have fun!
  • After you get through Christmas, and before New Year’s Eve, pull out the Family Prayers (at the back of the devotion book), and turn to the last prayer page. Fill out your “New Year’s Eve Praise Countdown” as your family enjoys a meal together or while you’re driving or some other time that works for you.
I’m thankful for your family and pray your Christmas is full of joy and thankfulness for God’s great gift and so much more.
